Ogletree leaves Georgia for medical reasons

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) Alexander Ogletree, a part-time starting fullback for Georgia as a junior in 2012, is leaving the team for undisclosed medical reasons.

Ogletree's decision was announced by Georgia in a brief statement on Wednesday.

Ogletree is the twin brother of linebacker Alec Ogletree, who left school after his junior season to enter the NFL draft.

Georgia officials say Alexander Ogletree is on track to graduate and plans to continue classes while remaining on athletic scholarship.

Ogletree started two games and appeared in eight games last season. He had three carries for 14 yards and one touchdown and four receptions for 25 yards.

Former walk-on Merritt Hall, a rising sophomore, started six games at fullback last season.
